Relay Help Needed

one more:doah::haha:

for the wire going into the cab to the switch can i use a small guage so I dont have to run the thicker wire into the cab, if not no big deal, but its just a little easier to run small guage wire.

If you are running the switch in the cab to run a relay for the lights then you can run 18awg because there will be almost no load on that wire.

Ok help need quick. I only gotta hook up the switches and my 2 sets of lights are wired up.

now for the switch for power i should use the b+ side on this thing(see pic below). but which is b+ side? the drivers side or passenger side?

Thanks

EDIT: both of them are hot.

Ok are there any fuses I could blow by putting power there? I would run an inline fuse. Or for Would i be better off running power to the battery for my switch?

Thanks

that is fusable linked down at the starter, but no, you wont blow any fuses... unless the link is crusty and ready to blow anyway..

that is pretty much your most direct, accessable hookup, other than the battery... go there... not a good idea to load connections at the battery, as those are heavy corrosion areas..

Ok thats where the power for my switch is gonna go. I already got power to the relay from the battery.

sorry major newb when it comes to wiring I jsut wanna make sure I dont start blowing fuses left and rights or have the wiring start on fire or something like that.:o

the second pic is the factory junction, above the ds valve cover...

I don't believe the second pic is factory.. those are circuit breakers.. one side is feed in, the other out... you tap into the feed side, and fuse off of that... trace em out, the feed will more than likely be coming from that junction block...

edit... i see/read it is... all those major hot feeds can be used to take power off...

Alrite thanks a bunch Ryoken and blazin_blazer. time to wire the switch. Man I love working under the dash. :rolleyes:
