So I've got the lift on order, interior out, floor cleaned up and surface rust treated with picklex 20 and I'm making progress. I have a dead short and this relay clicks when the battery is connected. I need some one to ID it for me please. It has a red, green and black wire to it, is upper right of the fuse box.

Thanks in advance

Thanks Ekajkrats,

You nailed it. I went out to the shop and found the horns unplugged. Plugging them in sets them off so I am going to assume it's the horn switch in the column. The button does not feel right and nor does the right turn signal. In the mean time I got the front, rear and emergency bakes all up to snuff. Lift and SM465 swap next few weeks.

Cool, glad I could help. Was just trying to help Senorx470 diagnose his horn problem.

I would think you are right. I would take apart the button, probably the spring gave out or isn't there and the metal plate is in constant contact with the metal in the column.

You are making good progress. Are you changing from a th350 to sm465? Take some good pics, would love to see how you handle the swap.

Look a few threads below and you'll find more info on the horn relay. I just ordered a new relay, cause it looks like mine is bad. My truck was also missing the button and spring. Parts are on the way. I'm learning and couldn't have figured it out without Ekajkrats. I really owe him one.

Awesome,

Thanks fella's. I'll post picks when I convert the transmission. I cant see it being that tough but that is what I said about converting a righthand dive land cruiser to a left hand drive truck. That was a bear of a job.
