There is a relay on the passenger side of my tranny tunnel that I broke(stupid) when takin my engine out. I've tried everywhere and they all say "its been discontinued." Its got a plug with 3 or 4 wires(female spade tips) that hook up to it. Anybody know what this controls? Where can I get another? Thanks.

Evan

maybe the horn relay, I will go look at mine. Give me a better description of where it is.

John

Nope not the horn relay. I have one on my 70 1/2 ton pickup but not on my 72 Blazer. The one I have on my 72 says-

I don't have the engine in my 70 right now and I could not find anythiing on the harness that would connect to it. Do you have the plug located that connects to the harness?

John

I would guess that it is the relay for the TCS (transmission controlled spark) system. This was an emissions system that controlled when the vacuum advance was allowed to operate. The system has typically been disabled over the years on these trucks, so unless yours is still operational, forget the relay.

Ding Ding Ding. Blazer70 got it right. I just found out its the Distributor advance relay from a local parts store.
