Ok well I have to fix some of my stuff... then will relocate them...
first the pic of where my switches are now...
switches.jpg

now 4 switches
1. accessories - radio and cb shutoff
2. heater switch broke so wired in (got a replacement unit - need to put it in then switch is freed up)
3. put 1985 column in truck (wiper squirters arent working - hooked up to switch.. fix and free up switch)
4. KC's on front bumper

so anyway.. im going to free up 2 switches... well at least one as I can fix the heater switch.. will take some time trying to figure out the wiper squirters...

I am going to move my switches to a more accessible place....

so whatever I put there just flies out when you hit the gas... im going to mount
pRS1C-2160402_rshalt1_dt.jpg

not sure how many of them I can get in there comfortably...
It is 2 3/4" high and 6" wide. Also will figure out a way to put a cell holder there too.....
then I will put
BUTTONS%20ROUND.jpg

where those 4 are....

where is the cheapest place to buy those switches?
those in the picture are $4.99 each... transparent red cover... and red led on the end of the toggle....

I need
1 for KC's on bumper
1 for KC's on rollbar (broke but will replace)
1 for Eagle Eye II's (gonna mount 2 on rollbar backwards
1 for accessories
1 to have extra

That is by far the best price I have seen on those. At one time I looked a doing a heavily modded PC with those switches. They wanted $20 EACH!

Case mod stores always want top dollar for their stuff. About the only thing they sell cheap are cold cathodes and neons for cases.

Not the best picture. But a piece of flat lack plastic I had lying around glued on there with some type of black glue. I have got 3 switches on there if you can see around the steering wheel. One for my window washer squirter thingy (my friends love to flip that switch when I drive them around. The other switch is for my aux lights which aren't hooked up, and the third one is extra.

I think you have got the right idea there with moving the switches above the heater controls. I like that winch switch plate

BTW, sweet factory tach

nope www.12voltguy.com sells them....

they are sweet but not cheap....

I paid about $6 for those at Radio Shack. My plate is made out of scrap 3/16 steel shaped with "hooks" that hold it into the shale welded on. Obviously I covered it to match the headliner. The three switches on the right are coming out.

I thought about doing that instead.. but the flip switches are just soo cool!!!!

oh yeah factory tach came with my $500 parts truck that I bought a while back.... with the d06, dual tanks, 7" lift and 38's!!!

I dig the stuff from Carling... The contoura rockers are sweet... millions of combos with different lense colors and pics... waterproof, any pole config, etc...

they are nice too.. however... what do they run?

I think if you want a more of a stock look that they would rock...

I like the switches a lot. Its an added benefit fo me that RS is al over so if one goes bad its an easy fix. The meter is an SWR/power meter for the CB.

They run in the 10 to 15 range..

For my dash, I think those will be best.. It's blingy enough and not sure the aircraft flipups would look good there... might be too much.. some black rockers with different colored lenses is what I'm thinking, blend in a bit better..

... hunt ebay, tons of that stuff on there... at one point, i researched the aircraft flipups, about 10 actually color/style configs, colors, carbon fiber, translucuent, etc...

what does the power meter do for ya?/?

a cb is what 4 or 8 watts??? I have a powered mic good for 4 or 8 watts....

is that unit like a booster of a sort?

how far are your red switches apart?

this area is only 5" wide and im hoping to get 4-5 of them in there....

yeah that is what I was saying.. those will look awesome in your truck... wont take away from the gauges.. but still give that hint of stock / added look...

also yeah along time ago I searched on ebay and those switches were EVERYWHERE but still not too cheap.. .I saw a set tonight.. 10 yellow (dont want yellow) and they were $38 buy it now and like $12 shipping... not bad for $50.. but I dont want yellow....

whatever flip ups I do (most likely the transparent red from radio shack) I am going to put letters on them too... Lights, Lights, Lights, ACC, ACC... I dont think I will get more than 5 in there...

Nope. Thats why I only use it way out of town. You really don't need it in town if you have a good antenna.

The switchs are 6" from end to end. A little better than 1/4 apart.
