Rem

That is the remote turn on wire, think of it as the signal wire for a relay, it tells the amp to turn on. Your radio receiver should have a (usually) blue wire coming out of the harness, that is where you hook it up to. When the radio turns on the amp is told to turn on as well via that wire.

I think the blue w/white wire on the radio is the amp turn on lead. IIRC the blue wire is for a power antenna. If you get them backwards, the amp will turn off when you put a CD in.

But yes, the rem is the remote turn on for the amp. Hook it up last.

Haha...yeah I've made that mistake before. Talk about leaving you scratching your head for a minute or two.

Anyway, you can also use any switched 12v lead for the signal wire, the amp will just turn on with your ignition. If there isn't a remote turn-on lead in the head unit's harness just tap one of the switched fuses in the fuse block and run the wire back.
