i just noticed in the chevy truck catalog from classic industries, they are reproducing the 1st gen blazer door caps. i didn't think they would ever be repopped. i am about to order a set so i can't verify the quality yet. i thought someone around here would find this interesting.:k5:

they are $39.95 a pair, and i'll report on how they fit. they look right in the catalog. i was looking into making an injection mold and fabricating a few sets myself. it doesn't look too difficult.
they are on page 251 of the 2006 classic industries catalog

Yes, definitely report back with good pics if you can.

That part has been one of the "Holy Grail" items on a 1st Gen..... Almost impossible to find in good condition. A quality repro would be a Godsend.

Yeah, I bought a pair of used but intact ones a while back for $25. They required plastic repairs to prevent breaking later.

What color are they molding them in? Mine are white.

Any updates?

not that I'm anxious or anything......:p:

i'm having trouble finding enough things in their catalog that i need right away. I don't want to order just the caps. I'm sure you are already familiar with classic industries. If not I downloaded the pdf catalog from www.classicindustries.com i normally wouldn't mind being the guinea pig, but I actually have about 6 oem caps with a few in very good condition. Normally I keep my word, but after thinking about it those caps didn't make the top of my priority list.

oops, sorry about that
