We will be set up from about 9am to 2pm for early registration and the activities including an RTI ramp, blindfolded cone course, slow-drags, and safety inspections. Stephen will also be leading a group for the driving clinic. There is a trail run listed for AreaBFE, Minor Threat. It will be a "self-guided" trail run; we'll set up a sort of staging area and you leave with a group or just head out whenever you want, basically like last year.

Just make sure you're done playing in time for the Offroad Design BBQ.

Knew I forgot to mention something. We'll have a canopy setup for the registration so there won't be a lot of extra room under it. It would be cool to have a couple of canopies for people to gather under. BYOC (Bring Your Own Chairs)

Another game idea that would be fun and easy to set up would be the "where is my tire/front diff/rear diff" game. Set up a flag/cone/rock, or whatever and see who can stop the closest to it without hitting it. Easy to score since a tape measure is all it takes and it's a pretty good trail skill to practice.

If it's too easy, do it moving and measure the tire track.

I like this one, probably won't be too good at it though considering the amount of damage I have on my rig :D:D

We do something similar at our local 4x4 show and shine, its tougher than you'd think! We normally just set up a tall pylon to the side and whomever stops within a certain distance of the pylon without passing it gets so many points. There is a second distance as well which gets you bonus points (within an inch or two)

We also do winch drag racing too, which is kinda fun! To make it fair, we usually have some other smaller challenge after the winching to do as well. Sometimes you get a guy with a slow and half burnt out champion winch beating a guy with an 8274C cause his competition didn't know how to tie two tow straps together properly, haha

Another idea which is also a lot of fun is blind driving. We blind the driver of a vehicle and have a spotter guide him through an obstical course. Usually involves some tight two or three point turns, putting two tires on a curb and driving a certain distance without hitting the grass or pavement, lining the 4x4 up to drive the front end up the ramps of a trailer until the front tires touch the deck etc etc. Always fun to watch, but make sure you do it in a wide open space, LOL had a few people take a run at a dumpster one year, another year a guy ran his buddy into a wall...

This year we had a random lady off the street who saw the show and shine and decide to enter for the fun of it win the blind driving course in her Jeep Liberty, haha! It was truly amazing, she claims she'd never been offroading before and had a complete stranger spot her through the course. She pulled it off flawlessly and got the best time by like 30 seconds! She came in 2nd place in the stock tire class overall. Only got beat because the guy who got 1st had a winch and was able to compete in the winch drag race for a couple extra points over her.

Parallel parking with no passenger can be interesting. set up an area maybe 20 feet long with cones on each end and something to act as a curb. You pull up stop back in and pull forward. That is all you get. Measure front and rear tire distance from the curb. You can hit the curb but not the cones. 2 cones front and two back like the ends of a bumper of cars you are parking between.

That all sounds fun, but I don't have enough volunteers to man that many activities.

We are doing that one. :D I call it the blindfolded cone coarse.

LOL some of those I would rule at if I took the back seat out, considering I can see my rear tires and stuff :D:D

Parking lots are great, but I'm coming for the trail rides and scenary:waytogo:

Scott,

If you need my assistance for any volunteer work, count me in.
