I bought a oil filter relocation kit from summit, and I am trying to decied where to put it. I thought about putting it up in the motor compartment, but I am worried about getting air in the line from being above the motor. Should this be a worry or not? Thanks for your time.

I got a dual filter setup on my 496. I got my lines run from the stock 1qt oil filter, up the lines, to dual 2 qts, from there to my 6 pass oil cooler, then back to the block. I mounted the filters to a piece of aluminum plate, which is bolted to the core support, where the stock charcoal canister was on the drivers side. Relocated the canister to the other side. I might have a pic in my webshots in the engine album, but I honestly dont remember.

i got no problems, cant see as there would be, if the oil drained back, it would just go to the pan, and then it would start pumping up through the lines, but there would be enough extra in the pan to do that.

No worries w/ mine.

its done in marine applications all the time.. Mercs have it as high as the carb...
