Remote start add power door locks?

Well I guess I'm showing my age. Never considered a auto start till this winter. Damn I hate the cold. Anyways a buddy is going to install a auto start in my 91 K5. He also suggested adding aftermarket auto locks. Supposedly they work with the remote and if you unlock the DS door the module will then open the PS.

Any thoughts on the reliability of these units? Sounds good in theory.

AFAIK if the vehicle already has power door locks they will work with an alarm that has a remote door unlock feature.

If no factory PL, then it depends on the quality of the aftermarket solenoids. Install can be a pain just working in the doors, but a failure doesn't usually lock you out. The key will still work.
