My daughter wants a remote start for her 2011 Nissan Murano as a Christmas present. I have never installed or even owned anything with R.S
So ?s are
Easy to install?
One brand higher quality then others?
Hit the easy button and let the pros do it?
Thanks for your input.

I'm not much of a mechanic, but I installed my own on a 2001 dodge ram about 8 years ago. I think it took me 2 days of confusion. I paid to have the remote start installed on my current truck because I didn't want to do it again.

I had one on my 99-2500 when I got it and it was 12 yrs old when the truck wouldn’t start. It died at an electrical rebuilder shop, and they told me it was the cheap piggyback wiring connectors started causing more amp draw than the computer liked and it would not fire.
Other than that I’ve had three others that I’ve loved and recommend the longest distance you can get

I got a Fortin Evo from crutchfield.com for the wife’s Chevy Cruze. Came with everything needed for the install. About an hour and it was good to go. Worked off the factory key fob. Start the car by pressing the lock button 3 times. Found a video on YouTube that walked me thru the install. No cutting, plug and play. I later bought the add on kit that had key fobs due to the fact that the unlock buttons would not work when you remote started the car by the factory fob. Had to use the key to get in. With the add on kit start with the aftermarket fobs and you could unlock with either the factory or the aftermarket fobs. Wife liked that much better, as sometimes when using the factory fob if you didn’t sequence the 3 lock procedure just right the car wouldn’t start.
But overall had this on her car for about 3 years now everything working great just like day one.
