I installed a BOA Security remote start w/keyless entry in my '93 K2500 today. Everything works except that it won't actually start the truck. It will turn the engine over but it won't fire unless I put the key in the run position first. I talked to the company today but they were no help at all. The only wire that I can't figure out is the one it says to hook to the tach. I spliced it into the tach wire off going into the ECM like it said and then I tried it on the tach wire coming right off of the coil. Then they told me to splice it into one of my injector power wires and that didn't work either.

So my question is, where the hell do I hook this wire in?:confused:

I figure I'll call them back on Monday if no one here can help me out. If I do, hopefully I can talk to someone that has a freakin' clue there.

Below is a pic of the kit I installed. The model number is 256B.

Thanks in advance,
Rick

If it turns over, and will start when the key is in the ign, im guessing you aren't turning on the ignition. Basically you are trying to start the motor with no spark.

As for the tach wire, i think that just gives an input so that it won't try to start it when it is already running, so hook it up like they said and leave it. Look at your other wires (i haven't done one of these or i'd be more specific). Your starter wire is probably rite, but i'm guessing there is some sort of ign output (that essentially puts it in run mode - ign on) that proably isn't hooked up correctly.

Good luck!
