fyi some remote filter kits have 1/8th pipe thread hole in them to install temp sender for a gauge kit.

so if you ever plan on it find one of them.

ya some say in pan some say in hot out line.

i got it cover bothways in my buildup.

1 in pan AND in hot out line in filter. then toggle switch to swap signal to the gauge when i want or need to see temp in line. primary will be pan temp.

i say pan temp is average. but if heavy workin i wana see temp in hot line to see if we are on the verge of melt down before its super cooled in a big cooler.

i will also be running this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DER-13011/ but i will swap out the nipple fittings for 5/16 dubble flare adaptors for hardline.

i wouldnt unless its a brand new one. thay hold tons of junk inside if the a/c blewup a compressor.

and thats a LOT of cooler to use . if you realy wana use that i would my self add the t-stat vale to the system to let it warm up to temp but cool as needed.

there is such a thing as to cold. the newer vehicles dont let the convortor lockup till 140 on lots of newer gm trannys. got to be a reason for it if the factory did it i think.

ty again. Its farely new and has never seen any ac damage. And I run its cold out into my rad to get it too temp agian. ty

I should do a remote trans filter this weekend, been wanting to for a while, and you canter ever have too much filter in a system.

stuff goes in streaks around here its all or nothin on subjects. just so happens its vary popular these last few weeks.

I havent done it yet, but I would use the generic one thats been pictured in this thread a few times.

What filter are you using?

filter housings run $15 to $100, depending on hose config and bling factor... Summit has ton's of em.. bare, chrome, black, sidefeed, top, etc, etc...

I run most stuff on my junk with 1/2" NPT... one of the more common sizings for fittings of all sorts....
