Remote Transmission filter

Do you think having a Remote Transmission filter is a good idea? Or is the stock set up good enough?

Only real serious down fall I can imagine is the rubber hose letting go, cracking/leaking or just plain getting torn off.

Could put it inline with the tranny cooler, and of course with a cooler you put in a temp gauge, so you'd know if you blew a line real quick.

Though the spewing white smoke might be a dead giveaway

Well I already have a bunch of rubber line going to the cooler,and a temp guage in the "brake" light hole [just aint hooked up yet LOL] .

I ran one in my 95 Dodge many moons ago. It helped scavenge a lot of crap out of the transmission.

I ran one before and changed the filter at every oil change. It seemed to clear up the fluid a little. I would save a few dollars and get this instead.

If you can, check your local Fleet and Farm or Farm Implement dealer. They usually carry similar kits, or individual pieces, for near the same price.

Very good idea, i run one in my race car with hard line and a cooler.

Stupid question, but do you just knock the element out of the stock filter for a pickup in the pan?

Leave the filter so that you have 2 filters..... better protection

I will keep changing the in-pan filter and fluid as recommended.
