lookin for a removable transmission hump to put into my '88 k5. let me know what you got. thanks

I would love to see pics when you find one and have installed it as that is also my plan to make things easier when i install my doubler.

I already bought a bolt in hump from Wes (thatk30guy) just not ready yet to install my doubler.

I got one. do you need the section of the floor that it bolts to? I am cutting up the cab for scrap.

How much do you want for the piece that the hump bolts to? That is if muddybuddy doesn't want it.

chas, that would be sweet. how much do you want for the hump and the part of floor it bolts to? auto or manual hump?

Hey scott
I am scraping a truck like that, If you come to pick it up or arrange for it to be picked up, I can cut it out for you.
I also have the hump but I see you already got one.:D

I might be able to arrange for Jeremy (gr8pumkin) to pick it up at some point when he heads back to his inlaws in Colfax. Do you know if the bolt pattern is the same for all years. I have no idea what year the hump is that i have. What would you want for the hump and floor piece?

I am pretty sure the humps are all the same bolt pattern, my hump is a manual/ 208 so it has 2 holes.
I don't know what I want from you, just something to make it worth my time to cut it for you.
How far do you want me to cut?
PM me, I don;t want to hijack this thread anymore. :D

its an auto hump with an opening for a 203. how much of the floor do you need? just enough to overlap and rivet it in? or are you doing like me and starting with a 2wd that doesn't have the hump for the t-case.

the 4wd floor section is in the front and a 2wd in the back. my 2wd cab did not have a removeable hump so I swapped over the lower section into it.

I laid the donor piece over the cab floor and traced it with red paint.

then cut about 1" inside that trace.

pop riveted the piece in with bolt in hump installed to make sure it all lined up. my center hump is modified to clear a trans mounted Lokar shifter.

depending on how much you need, shipping and when you need it is going to determine price. the slower I can take to get it to you the cheaper it is. my garage is 18 miles from my house, so I don't get out there every day.

when were the removable humps used? im trying to do this on a '88 k5. i thought i didnt have removable hump, but from your pics chas i duno if i do or not. unforunately im not by my truck so see. would it be year specific? anybody know if my '88 would have it or not?

my 83 1500 4wd came with one. the second cab was a 2wd 81 1500. the third cab is a 2wd 1976 1500 that did not. the truck I am scrapping is a 1978 4wd 2500 with one.

I scrapped my friends truck. 1987 1500 4wd with a removeable one. but my 1985 K5 has a glued hump. I could pry it off but I don't know if there are nuts in the tub for a bolted one.

you need to crawl under the truck and look.

yea ill just have to do that. i do know that it looks like it has bolts (like the one you just put in) but i think it might be glued too. anyway, i probably wont be able to get under it to investigate til end april:mad:

I will hold onto the hump and the floor peice for you.

alright well i finally got to check to see if ive got the removable hump, and i cant really tell if i do or not. i herculined everything a couple years ago so that makes it a little hard to see, i duno if the pics will come out well enough for you to tell. the hump looks like its a separate piece, but there are no bolts on it. i think there is a rubber seal of some sorts between them. so this would be removable right? if so, how to i break the seal on that so i can pull the hump off? thanks
