remove switch from glovebox

Ok so on a 1978 chevy... to open the glovebox you need to turn the switch.. then the glovebox opens...

how does one remove that locking assembly?

I have one that has a small hole in the front but that is it.... dont know how to remove it....

help greatly appreciated....

hmmm when I searched i didnt find that... however i tried the instructions as mine does not have a key.... just a lil hole.. still cant get it... will try later....

open the glove box and the lock assembly has a key way on the side. take a paper clip and push the pin in and pull/pry out on the outside knob. sometimes you just gotta fiddle with it awhile.
