Running a 90 Jimmy as my dd and pulled my gate off to be different and so I have easy access to some of the rust spots to work on it. Is it advisable to fab or buy a brace to tie the bedsides to the floor to reduce flex and increase durability? I don't do any hardcore wheeling, just some rough roads.
Thanks

if you don't wheel it, I wouldn't worry about it. I made a simple square tube brace the runs across the top of where my tailgate used to be. Works for me. I've since sold my tailgate... sheet metal is over rated and too heavy. ;)

the bed on my GMC is bowed slightly, although a K5 wouldnt be as bad I would think, it wouldnt take much to brace it
