Is the only place where the rear k5 tailpan is welded is to the rear quarter panel and rear floor support?

I want to remove the rear tailpan with the rear floor support welded together. I can also cut into the lower rear quarters and have them attached if needed.

I'm thinking about cutting the rear quarter as shown in red below. If I did this would every thing else be bolt off to remove the rear tail pan?

I think the answer is yes, assuming you're also removing the two rear-most body mounts. The back of the floor probably won't separate from the tailpan, so you may have to cut it free. Where you show cutting is above the floor, so presumably losing the back of the floor is already part of your plan. I have more pics and exploded diagrams in here: https://ck5.com/forums/threads/repa...lacing-the-tailpan-and-floor-patching.333499/

I just want to save the floor... that is all that is worth saving. I'm thinking now I may just sawzall all around the floor about 6in up from the pan. That way I can unbolt it all after I get it removed.

The part I circled in red - is this only bolted on where there is green? Is the part in red then spot welded to the outer skin of the rocker? Is the part in red spot welded to the inner skin of the rocker?
