Any tricks or suggestions?

Never going to use my a/c, even if it worked well. But I need a heater.

I started by removing the compressor and brackets from the engine so I can get easier access to my fuel pump and line. Got most of the a/c lines removed to the evaporator on the firewall and condenser in front of the radiator. Probably going to stop there until the cover comes in.

Fixing to order one of these a/c delete covers and plan on reusing my old blower. But I'll probably put in a new heater core while I'm in there as it looks like a pita to get to.

I've got an AC Delete piece. Nice quality. I have reworked the distributor side edge of the panel...not shown in this pic. Since I opened up the dish on my firewall to clear the BBC, the lines on the delete panel were off a little on the lower right.
