Has anybody removed the drip rails on a dubble wall top? Is this easy to do? Do you need to reinforce it with more fiberglass to keep it from splitting? Any advice would help.:dunno:

I can't think of any K5 top that has drip rails. On my '72 the only drip rail is on the windshield frame itself nothing on the fiberglass topper.

Edit: Well, Damn. I just checked the topper in the attic of my garage and it does have driprails arount each door opening. The top has been off for 4 years so I didn't recall. But I would know how to answer your question.

My 72 jimmy has drip rails over both driver and pasanger doors and over the back hatch. The front drip rail is on the windshild frame.

I'd be interested in knowing if any one has removed the drip rails too. I've got one that's damaged. I was going to repair it but maybe just removing it would be better.
