Removing door glass in junkyard

Been trying to pull the factory tinted windows in the rear (not tailgate) doors of a suburban. Problem is they are electric and being in the junkyard those no power. How can I do this?

I tried it once and broke the window. Never had power windows so I'm clueless on their operation.
 
I have used my cordless drill/grinder battery in a pinch.
I've done that a few times for various things. Just be sure you get the right connection. I accidently hooked to the charging pins once and got the batter smoking right quick! :eek1::doah:
 
I don't have a jumper pack but I do have 12v cordless drill batteries I was wondering if that could work.
 
My experience with power windows in junkyards is limited,and I have never tried removing the glass from a power window equipped square body--but I can say if you try removing the window motor on older GM cars,as soon as you pull it away from the gears ,the window comes flying down like a guillotine at 500 mph,and if your not quick enough ,your fingers can be sheared off in an eyeblink!..:eek1:

There are 2 big springs that are "loaded" when the window is up...releasing the motor lets them retract with lightning speed...

I found this out the hard way on a friends '69 Buick Electra when we attempted to "save" the window glass and motors for another car just like it..don't know if trucks are set up in similar fashion--so I'd be vewy vewy careful!..(insert Elmer Fudd voice here!)..
 
I'm probably too dumb but I couldn't figure out where the motor was to remove it. I decided you have to pull the regulator to get to it. Plus those rear doors are just enough smaller than the fronts to be a pain to work inside of.

The mechanism is pretty simple. The regulator has basically two "arms" with wheels that fit into slots in a metal channel at the bottom of the window. As the regulator arms scissor open and closed, the window goes up and down. The key to getting the window out is to unbolt the regulator from the door skin and manipulate the window motor so you can get the regulator to pop out of the window channel and rotate the window out through the top. That worked for me on the front door, I assume rears are set up in similar fashion.
 
Drill battery worked. Used the blue and black wires.

Up=blue+, black-
Down=black+, blue-
