Removing Fixed hubs

Hi all.

I’m switching from full-time 4x4 to part-time 4x4. So I want to put Warn hubs on my front axle. My question is how do I get the fixed hubs of the axle? Just bang them off with a hammer. I’ll include some pics of the fixed hubs.

pop off the tin cap. pull the snap ring. pop out the slug. remove the spring. then go from there.

Use a screw driver between the cap and the hub and open it like a can of paint.
