Been awhile since I've logged on. But spring is here and time to start driving my jimmy to the lake. But rotors are warped. Get that bad shaking when I step on brakes. Question is anybody have break pics of removing the hub. I've got about 1/2 the guts out of hub. But there's still something holding the gears in hub. Any help would be great. And plan on getting some pics up this year. Thx everyone.

My guess is you are missing the outer snap ring. There is a snap ring around the very outside of the inside of the hub. No snap ring ends, just a wirey metal thing.

I concur on the snap ring. Can be a major biatch without the right tool. I found 2 screwdeivers, one small one to get under and one to hold it from spinning and a pair of needlenose pliars to grab it once you get it popped up a little.

Once i got mine out i took and filed one end at a 45* angle so its easier to get under it and lift it up. Works great

Really? There are some snap rings that are a pain (thinking the lock ring one on the steering column), but this one is cake when you realize its there.

Sounds like you need one of these sets.

I had my whole hub get stuck and fall to pieces on the inside of my rotor.

Thx for all the info. Gonna try and change them out this weekend. And the break down pic is very helpful.

well after search for a store that this crazy socket to get inside hub nuts out. everything is back together, greased up and running. thx everyone for info.

Now just need to get the jetski's running and ill be ready weekend trips to the lake.

In a pinch a hammer and screwdriver will get that nut off and back on fyi. Not recomending it, just sayin
