Removing hubs

Is there a trick to pulling the outer ring on the hub so I can remove the lockouts? I've got a set of Warn Premiums I'm attempting to remove from my truck and the ring that rides in the groove on the hub won't move and it seems to be holding the lockout in.. yes I removed the snap ring

I use 2 small screw drivers and a little finess, some swearing, some more finess, then out it comes

Theres 2 possible retainer snap rings,one round approximatly 3" diameter in the ID of the hub assembly,and also the smaller one on the end of the axle shaft. If both those are off or out it should come out. Sometimes its easy to screw in a few of the allens to get a hold of to slide it out.

I use a pick thats bent at a 90 deg. angle. Works like a charm.
