i hate to go back to an open diff but i need to get the truck on the road soon. have some last minute concerts and camping weekends planned that require the burb, when a nissan just wont cut it...

since my locker is toast, i was going to remove the lockright and install the spider gears. i found the original spider gears, which are in perfect shape but i am missing the cross pin and i believe a set of washers. i currently have all 4 gears and a pair of thick washers. Where can i get the right parts to move forward with the install, and can someone walk me through some quick steps?

if im not gonna do it, roughly what do you guys think a shop would charge to install the gears and zero rates i have been waiting to put in?

You already have the pinion pin. it is in your carrier holding the lockrite together. Just reuse it. The thick washers are thrust washers. They go behind the side gears.
Go herehttp://www.richmondgear.com/powertrax/lrinstallation.html
if you need more detailed info click on the "installation literature' They will email you a complete manual. it will tell you how to remove it.
pretty simple really. remove the pinion pin, Rotate the slots in the locker down, Push in the axles so the C clips fall out. might have to fish the c clips out with a small wire with a hook on the end. Pull axle out. Remove lockrite. install spider gears and thrust washers, Put c clips back on axle, Stick the pinnion pin back in and tighten retaining bolt.
BTW those thick washers should have been reinstalled when the lockrite was put in. Unless new thrust washers were used.
If there are no thrust washers installed the lockrite will fail.

ok sounds easy enough. do i have to worry about any type of measurements or torque specs when re-assembling it?

you simply push a small pin out that holds the main center pin in. Then tap out the main center pin, pull out the lockright by first taking out the small springs that are in the center pieces, then the small pins behind the pins. Then pull the center of the lock right out, then the outers and replace with spiders in reverse order but making sure u put in the washers behind everything.
