Removing radio in 2000 Chevy Silverado

Anyone done it?

How much of the dash needs to be taken apart and how do I do it? I don't see any visible hardware like my '90 suburban.

I'd like to remove the radio/CD player and replace it with my JVC unit out of my suburban. I currently have the wiring harness in my suburban that goes from the suburban's factory wiring to the JVC unit. Is this going to be the same for the 2000 Silverado?

search around for sites that do radio install stuff.

Shouldn't be hard though. Grab the front part of the dash at the seam around the top, and pull towards you. Im almost postitive its all just clips.

Once the dash trim is off, you'll see what hardware you need to remove to get the radio out.

Was i right, was it mainly clips?

Yup...you just grab onto the front of the dash with you hands and yank...no hardware.
