So I'm trying to take off inside rear panels on my 84 k5 it's all stock.looks like I have to remove seatbelt housing first before panels will come off. But cannot figure out how to do that.already checked chilton manual does not show how. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

At the bottom of the seat belt housing is a small square plastic panel that pops out of the housing. Just use a small flat blade screwdriver to get under it. Inside, behind that plastic panel that you take out, there is one big torx bolt that holds the seat belt mechanism in place. Take out that one bolt and the mechanism comes off the pillar. The bolt has blue loctite on it so it will be tight but will come out with a good quality Torx tip and either a 3/8's or 1/2" ratchet wrench. The mechanism has a flat metal tab on it at the top but once the bolt is out, just pull the mech. straight out away from the pillar.

This is what the back side of the upper piece looks like:

After that its just one bolt to remove the rest.
