I am trying to remove my side and barn door windows for painting purposes. They have the one piece gaskets without the trim. How the heck do you get the window out without destroying the weatherstipping in the process.

Thanks

big bottle of soap and water. blue color dawn dish soap is best i have found. then work this in to the gasket on window side and body side. best results with gasket warm like out in the sun for a few hours. take time and it will pop out. also need to use lots of pressure to pop out but not to much. go to the junk yard and find the zip strip style gaskets and put them in easyer to work with.
