Stupid question but I am not near my truck and am going to go pick up a tailgate off of another blazer for my electric to manual rear window swap. Anybody know what I am going to need to take off the tailgate?? As in what tools am I going to need to bring with me to get the trucks tailgate off? Hopefully I will have time to go check mine out before I go but just in case I want to have what I need. ThX:bow:

A set of sockets to unbolt the hinges, unless they are rotten, then they just pull out. There is a plug in connector for the power. The springs if I remember unbolt also by a plate but be careful with them!

I would also bring some penetrating lube and side cuts in case the wires are modified.

Someone else may chime in with other thoughts

If its like my truck when I first got it just open it up and itl fall off.:doah:

thanks guys, I figured id need the sockets but for some reason I thought there might be some torx stuff on there. Tailgate turned out to be crap, well, at least nothing better then what I have now. which looks good but I lost one of the little rails that screws onto the window glass. :doah:
