Can anyone fill me on on what's involved with removing the dash cap to access the dash speakers & wiring? Can't find anything on it :grind:

screws along the bottom, one at each end, and the two top ones on the instrument bexel, then pull towards you.

Yup, pull out and wiggle as far as you can before you pull up at all 'cause there are little clips along the back between the defrost vents and they look like a b!tch to replace.

Whereabouts are you from on Whidbey? My family is all from the south end of the Island (Maxwelton mostly)

*EDIT* Here's a pretty good idea of the general setup. You can see the clips at the top...LMC calls them dash pad retainers.

Thanx, that's just what I needed. Doesn't look too hard. Geeze, $600 for a new OE dash pad??

We live in Freeland just up the street from town, bout 5 miles past Maxwelton

Yeah they really ream you for some of that stuff :eek1:. Once you get the dash off the first time it's pretty straight forward, but I wrestled with it a bunch before I figured out what was goin on.

That's cool. My cousin works for Nichols Bros (er did, not sure after the layoff), our cabin is down on Useless Bay.
