Help!!!! How do you remove the headlight switch for a 72 blazer. I;ve pulled, twisted and still nothing happens. Whats the deal? Thanks

My headlight knob is screwed onto the switch. Turn counter-clockwise. My wiper knob has a set-screw on the side you have to undo. (Well, you're supposed to have to unscrew it, but it comes off if you don't anwyay.)

Once the knob is off, you unscrew the metal trim and the switch comes out from the back of the dash.

You can also reach under the dash and on top of that switch is a push button. You push the button in and then you pull the light switch knob and then pull the switch knob and it's shaft out of the switch. Then you just unscrew the switch bezel and you're done.

I had one heck of a time the first time I tryed pulling the dash...then when I figured it out about the button on top I just about died.

I agree!! & I'll tell you what, I can do that in my sleep now! Once I figured it out I was like, "I WILL NEVER FORGET THIS AS LONG AS I LIVE!!"

Now tell me how much fun pulling you're worn-out ignition switch was & we can laugh together again. :wink1: :haha:

Later,
Buddy
