removing the heat shield

Hello,
I just got a set of tall edlebrock valve covers and the one of the pass site will not go on because of the heat shield on the manifold. How can I take it off? I want it off any ways because it's ugly as hell.
I brock the 4 or 5 spot welds that where on the top. but it seems like it is stuck.

I think there is a bolt as well, I think it goes to one of the manifold bolts.
