REO Trucks

Good old 90s Tacoma please
So tired of the extra $crap people are fine with financing.

Although if funds allowed, a 90s Chevy truck with 6.5 would be ideal for my needs. :D

Sounds like a good idea but I see issues with government control and all that fun stuff. Have you seen any of the crap Edison Motors has to go through trying to build and sell a good old reliable semi?

Interesting. I dont see anyone being able to build any truck that passes emissions and crash testing for $21,500. Will be fun to see how this turns out.

It depends how big of a corporation you are and how much money you plan on making from every vehicle.
The reason vehicles are that expensive is because they can.

Sort of. You still have lots of mandated stuff, airbags, backup cameras, etc. I don't think there is much profit at the price. I like the idea but fear the release price will be much higher. A new company will drown at $21,500. The unreleased base Slate is $25,000. Not many people think that price is for real either.

True there are mandated stuff. But there is a lot of fluff that is not mandated that all companies put.
I think it's doable.
I know ot h er countries are doing it but they also have cheaper labor.
This one is priced at $21,500 for a 2 door and $25k for a 4 door or $28k for the suv.
Slate is in the same range and they do say it's bare bones.
So I guess we will wait and see.

My ford maverick hybrid company truck was 28k. It’s a base model, but it’s got carpet, power windows, and touchscreen.
