I thought I'd like to share some pictures of the replacement spring hangers I made for my k20 with the help of a local welding shop. They are thicker than non-rusted factory hangers by a little bit. Definitely thicker than what came off!!!

If there are enough people interested in these, I could probably get a vendor membership and start selling them here on ck5.

Ive had a truck where those were shot, but the frame was far from ever having a safety issue at all. just lots surface rust with some scale. mine were full of mud and dirt when I got it too, and on the 79 I have now I made sure to get that crap out right away.

I think the problem with making those, is thats a pretty limited comsumer base. from my experience, usually by the time those spring hangers are that bad, the rest of the truck is pretty much dead anyways.

The frame is in suprisingly good shape, just a little surface rust. It just looks like the brackets rusted out from mud and salt sitting on it too long.

GM still makes them new. Forget how much they were when we bought them for a 76. Good frame, just shot mounts. I'm thinking they were about $60. They look great though!
