Replacement Gas Tank - 78 K10

Thank you for the offer. I saved the o-ring from my old tank, so I will use that if I cannot find the correct sized new o-ring.

Your Welcome. I have other misc blazer parts. let me know if you need something. Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

I e-mailed Rock Auto about the o-ring issue and they sent me a new lock ring kit right away :waytogo: Good customer service. I have to put it in now, though :( I would like to avoid dropping the tank again, that was a royal pain. Can I get to the sender by sliding the bed back? 8 bolts + filler neck + brake wires seems easier to me.

The bed is not seperate from the body on blazers, so i would have to say no. I have seen a guy cut a hole in the floor before.:eek1: (not recomended). I suggest the pain in the ass way, unless your good at welding :doah:

What year truck are you working on? I thought this was blazer related. Most of the time it is better just to drop the tank, because it is a 1 person job. removing the bed requires more than 1 person. sometimes bed bolts can be a little on the tough side. The end result is the same, let me know how it turns out. Tom
