Has anyone been able to find a direct replacement for the heater hose hard line that connects at the back of the manifold?

Mine is crimped to the rubber section that feeds the heater, and the rubber is wearing through.

Dont' really want to swap to all rubber line, but will if i have to.

Sources?

ditch the quick connector and install reg nipple. then use rubber hose and clamp.

I have seen so many of the quick connectors go bad and leak / pop apart .

Mine doesn't have the quick connector.

It has a threaded connection on a hard tube that runs back towards the back of hte head, then circles forward along the side, then into rubber hose.

Part number for the nipple? And hose size? No idea what the manifold connection is.

help section at parts store for nipple.

and cut the old hose off the heater core nipple. lots of times there almost bonded to the brass from age.

I called around and only found one dealer within 500 miles that had the factory heater hose, and they wanted $90 for it. I got the regular nipple and some heater hose at NAPA for under $20, plus now it works with universal heater hose so I won't be screwed if the hose busts somewhere far from home.
