I need some recommendations on leaf springs for my '79 SWB K10. I'm running 31x10.5 tires with a small block and I like the stock ride height. I've got a Fisher 7.5' plow that I'll be installing as well as a steel flat bed (it's a heavy sucker!) that I use mostly for mulch and fire wood. Do you think stock heavy duty replacement springs would be OK? I was thinking about getting the HD parts listed here:
http://www.stengelbros.com/HeavyDutyLeafSprings.htm.

Any comments would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Jim

for those prices, i would look into maybe a 2" tuffcountry HD springs...with all that weight added the 2" lift will prolly not even be noticeable, and will prolly cost less than those springs. my $.02

X2.

hd lift springs or local spring shop and ask what thay have in the line of plow type setup springs. i have seen some 5 leaf frt springs before for 73-87 style trucks. thay work great nice and heavy duty. and fisher plows are more on the heavy and heavy duty side of the plow end. as for the rears you can get a 7 leaf set of 52" rears i have seen them. or switch to 56" rears and move the back hanger back to the other set of holes. the front eye to center pin is the same as the 52" but the center to rear eye is + 4" longer.
