Hello all,

Well...it's time to order those replacement quarters. I am having a hard time finding someone who has the 73-75 panels in stock though.

Here is the question - how different are the 76+ quarters? I am guessing the only real difference would be at the very front where it goes up to the roof over the cab area. (Also, I know I need an earlier panel on the passenger side to keep the round hole fuel filler opening...so I am already planning on that.)

Can anyone tell me what would be involved to swap in a set of 76+ quarters? Can I just weld in a small patch at that one spot to adapt it and look original?

I appriciate any help...I want to get these suckers ordered sooner than later. :D

76-77 are as far as I know the same, if the last inch or so is different, hopeully yours is not that bad up there and you are set.
If you are a good welde or plan on using a good welder that should be no problem, it can be merged and look original.

Hey IceMan...thanks for the quick response!

Yeah...for the quarters, I am probably going to let a guy I know take care of that. He has a much better welder and a whole heck of a lot more experience with sheetmetal than I do.

When you say the last inch, do you mean the last inch towards the cab area? Am I correct on that?

Yes, I would just cut the cab area off your old ones and graft it onto the new ones. (I would if I had a sweet 73-75 Blazer and crazy welding skills lol)

Yeah I am talking abou the last part where the quarter meet the half top on the later model, if it is deifferent, that's where it would be.
