Hi all! we want to install a new radio and spekers into our 1988 K5 blazer. we want the old look but with the new technologies such as bluetooth and good speakers. does anyone have any recommendations? i have seen the radios on classic car sound. does anyone have experience with these?

has anyone used these? they look like a great fit. LMC has speakers that fit without cutting any holes or busting things up. anyone use these?

I put the 630 in my truck, added the Bluetooth module. If I was to do it over I would go straight for the 740.
I like it well enough, documentation is lacking for as many features as these radios come with. Called product support and had good experiences. One time I got it set to some EU setting and didn't know what was happening. Support got out of it easy.
PO had 6" round speakers in the door so I am reusing. Can't comment on the stock location replacement speakers.

I put a RetroSound in my 82. No cutting. But…meh. Works good for me, but it’ll never be anything than a basic stock sound. Which even when the Blaze was new, I think was meh.
They do make a high end, BT, upgradable deck, but I think it’s in the 4-500 range.

Also used the factory RetroSound center speaker, but used Hertz 3.5’s for the side dash speakers. Those three speakers are all I have in the truck. With the top off, I can still hear my jams. Good enough for me, but again, not great. Mo wattage would be mo better.

We put one in dads suburban, with the retro sounds dual channel center and 3.5” kickers in the corners. It’s as Chris described, better then it was, but not a “system” just decent sound, needs bigger drivers and more wattage. But that is hard to do and keep stock appearance.

Dads was a mono speaker and am from the factory, so we made headway haha!

retrosound is my recommendation and what I'm going to buy for my 76 blazer. I wanted factory appearance but the added features like you mentioned.
