My '73 didn't have a rear seat when I bought it. Now that it is back on the road, the kids want a place to sit. I am looking at the bestop jeep replacement benches. Has anyone gone this route? If so which model? (Doesnt look like any of them are wide enough to fill up the space between the wheelwells) Anyone have a better idea?

third row seats from Tahoe, Suburban, Escalade, Yukon. 2000 -2006 come with their own seat belts.

Yep, 00-06 Tahoe 3rd row here. I built a seat frame out of 1x2 tubing to mount it to the rear floor, this kept it real low for more headroom. I found the factory brackets and stuff folks are selling on eBay etc made the seat too tall for adult height passengers.

I like the bracket that you fabbed up, nvrenuf. The thing I hate about the escalade/tahoe benches that I have seen in blazers is that they sit so high. Yours sits right. Still liking the bestops because I want something more weather resistant than cloth or leather but definitely worth thinking about

Thanks @aceroth I was able to get the seat to 1.25” off the floor. It should be just right where water can still run under when washing.
