After two weeks I've had enough of this chopped up wiring, maxed out fuse box, glass fuses, and intermittent lights. It is bad enough to warrant replacement. I am no stranger to rewiring things, and have access to quality terminals and crimpers, but obviously want to keep any splices to a minimum.

The question is, what harness to buy? I don't see the value vs the price for the Painless harness. The two I'm looking at are this one from Summit that a friend has used: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-890021/overview/ or this one on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/EZ-WIRING-2...Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item4853854a87 that Mike/TheBeast_88K5 recommend.

Here is what I'm running electrically: 1969 C10 (dash mounted ignition switch), 1994 454 with HEI, electric fuel pump just outside the tank, late model alt in a one wire configuration, 7 pin trailer connector, 700R4 with manual switch for converter lock up. Things I plan to add: modern radio, my M37 ambulance siren, and later A/C & TBI.

Im running about the same type of new vs stock electrical stuff. (TBI, modern stereo with amps, electric fuel pump, electric fans, electric gauges, CB)

One thing that's nice about the painless one is that most of the wires colors and connectors match the factory wires and connectors so you can just them in. It makes looking at a wiring diagram later on a little easier. The "other" 69-72 board have some for sale at more reasonable prices than summit.

Although I used almost all new weatherpack connectors under the dash because I customized the dash so heavily. If you are doing lots of add ons (TBI, stereo, lights, etc), you may not care about the wire colors as much.

I am running mostly stock components - carb and sm465, so I cannot comment on interchangability, but I do not think the painless harness could be any easier! probably the best money I have spent on the truck yet.

Did the harness you use include connections for the TBI sensors?

My TBI harness is self contained as a separate harness but I built it myself, and didn't use a painless one. I just power it from the main painless harness.
