replacing \'80\'s auto hubs with older mechanical ones

for anyone who has replaced factory 1980's cheap auto locking hubs with older mechanical ones what all parts do you need to keep from the originals or get with the mechanical ones in order to do the swap ? i need to lose the auto hubs on the 83

they interchange 10 bolt and dana 44 right ? what about dana 60 ? '80's ford fronts ?

thanks

any internal chevy 1/2 or 3/4 ton hub should work. You only need the new hubs. When you remove the auto hubs just make sure you take out the second axleshaft snapring behind the hub body or the new hubs won't seat. It is as easy as changing out any hub.

D60 hubs won't work.
