My Jimmy is an 87.
Are there any issues with the computer and or the connecter that plugs into the 700r4 when swapping to an 88 t400?
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks, Bret.

You should get a chip that came from a TBI with th400.

The following is AFAIK /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The only wire used, from the 700, is the TCC wire, The High Gear wire is not used... TCC wire goes to a relay and then to the th400 for its kick down input.

You could get a foot pedal kick down switch, as well. If you do, I would still get a th400 chip.
