I am about to replace the front output seal on my 205, I was wondering how difficult it is going to be and if there are any tricks that any one knows to help. I was also wondering if there was anything other than the seal that i need to replace while i have the front apart. Thanks for the help.

while replacing seal do this

convert your front and rear output while u have that thing out

the front seal wasnt that hard for me but im goin to just pay some1 to rebuild the damn thing since the kits are so cheap. i find the hardest thing is dropping the transfer case and putting in back in
good luck.

Do i need to take the trannsfer case out to replace the front seal?

You can change it in the truck but its not very fun but certainly easier than pulling the whole case though.Depending on which cross member you have you might have to remove the cross member?
Good luck
