I need new seat belts and my bucket seats are also getting worn. I figured I'd swap in some seats from an 04 Silverado with built in belts.

I know lots of people put them in Blazers with minimal effort but I know suburbans have that hump under the seats.

Has anybody done this swap in a burb? How involved is it? I am not willing to modify my floor boards except for mounting holes.

I *think* the newer seat frames aren't detachable making them too tall :dunno:

A couple of guys here have done that, I'll see if I can find the threads to it.

I found that once, but couldn't find it again. Thanks! I'm worried the seat will be too tall. I am short, but I would rather have the seat the same height if possible. I'll have to do more digging.

I just tried the same thing in my 91 Suburban with the Silverado seats. The seats were way too tall for my liking. I'm about 6" tall and my head was touching the headliner and the pedals were too far away. I ended up putting Chevy Cruze seats in it and they fit great. Here's link to thread. https://ck5.com/forums/threads/need-info-seat-swap.324260/

What problem did you run into when you tried to take off the brackets from the Silverado seats?
I didn't want to cut on them and risk ruining them only to have it not work anyway. I figured it would easier and cheaper to sell Silverado seats and go to pick and pull and find something that would work better.

Just to update, I bought some Silverado seats, saw what rmy660r saw, and after cleaning them up I sold them for an $80 profit over what I paid. Should have asked for more. Posted them late Friday, sold them early Saturday. I don't mind my seat style, but the fabric is wearing (the fuzz is gone) and my seatbelts are trash. I wanted to kill two birds...oh well. Anybody sell identical fabric?
