I have a turbo 350 with a 203 in my 75 K5. I have a chance to replace it with a turbo 400 with a 205. I was wondering if others have had to replace/alter the driveshaft length (newish drivelines already in it) and if I would have to change anything else?

Hope I can do this, as the 400 and 205 is out of a one ton, so I will be that much closer to putting a doubler in.
Thanks guys.

You will have to move the trans crossmember back about 4". The front d-shaft will need to be longer, & the rear shaft will need to be shorter by about 4". Best thing to do is botl the trans to the engine & use a jack to hold it in place to see were the new holes will need to be.

My frame already had the holes drilled.
