i'm replacing my busted th350 and i found a 700r4 with a 208 t-case for cheap, can i use my drive shafts or do i need to get different ones?

i believe it is a 76 frame, prolly gonna need new k-member, manual hubs, new shifter, and... what else will i need?

You can use your crossmember if the 700r4 and 208 came from a 82-84 . After 84 you need the crossmember from that setup. It will sit in a different spot on frame and you drill holes .

You need the driveshafts , the rear is slip yoke , not slip shaft .

You need the tranny tunnel , or cut and drill yours for shifter .

You need to pirate the tranny harness , second brake switch and bracket , and firewall vacuum switch from a donor rig . Its simple , it has a ground wire , a lamps wire and a power wire to attach to fusebox , one half runs through firewall to vacuum switch and down to tranny , other half runs under dash to brake switch , then under tranny tunnel to case switch ( which I forgot how it attached to my harness ) and shifter light .

You will also need the struts and motor mount plate for them to attach them to the convertor cover .

I just put my 83 stuff in a 75 frame and body , hope I didn't forget anything :thumb:

tranny came from an '84
the body of the blazer is an '88 so shifter hole should be right
i just wanna put a toggle switch and indicator light in for the lock-up on tranny

but i'm curious about this vacuum switch what does it do

i have never heard of a vacuum on a 700r4, i have put 2 in my truck and never saw anything to do with vacuum. i think you might be thinking of the vacuum to control the T350.
