So do I disconnect the rod from the pedal and unscrew it like that or... what? Seems pretty much impossible to unscrew it with is connected. And what is involved with disconnecting it from the brake pedal?:1zhelp: Thanks.

I've got the MC off and the 6 nuts that hold the booster to the firewall, all I need is to disconnect the rod that goes to the pedal...

Mine has a retaining plate with one 3/8" bolt holding it to the pedal. Plate doubles as the pad that contacts the brake light switch (I believe it also serves as a redundant safety device). Once that plate comes of there is a cotter pin and a couple bushings that act to hold rod to a small shaft on the brake pedal. Once this is removed and 6 bolts through the firewall undone it comes right out.

Ok thanks, so I just disconnect it at the pedal not at the part where the rod threads in, should make it much easier.:waytogo:
