replacing window channels ???

How hard is to it replace the window channels. I need them on both doors and the rear window. As with most older trucks I've seen, mine are broken, cracked and leaking. They are cheap to buy, but I am just curious as to how aggravating it is to replace them.

Moderately aggrevating... Mainly because you need to pull the glass...

if it's just the weatherstripping, that you're talking about, that is in the channels then it's pretty easy and I know for the front doors you don't need to pull out the glass to change 'em. be careful not to tear them or break the clips.

If you want to replace the vertical vent window one you really need the glass out.. Tho, yup, that one on top that comes down the back can be snuck in...

Mine are a tad rough, anyone have any opinions on the aftermarkets quality thru Lmc, Chevy Duty, etc?

I would also like to know where to get a good set. Ive heard LMC is good but ive had problems with their stuff not fitting.

Just did both front windows yesturday. Pull all the old out. You can do the job without pulling vent or glass. Took about 2 - 2.5 hours. Take your time.

I was able to sneak it by the window by putting glass 1/2 up and lifting up and down while sliding the stripping down the channels.

I broke the old out. It was like rigid plastic.

I got mine from chevyduty. Full kits cheaper than LMC.

No problems. They were nice and tight. I did a little trim on the overall length, but that's all.

Once you have it apart, spray some lube onto the regulator components.
