When you get repo parts(like from Lmc) they come with some kind of paint or coating on them. I have been scuffing them up and primer/ painting them. Is this what you guys do? Should I be doing something else? Does anyone know what that coating is?

Its an electroplating. Probably best to strip it if youre going for a good paint job.
Repo or repop/repro? I can't imagine anyone is repossessing parts from buyers...
