Hows it going all my names Dan. Im from Huntington NY. I went to school for GM and work at Buick. Worked for Chevy in the past but got laid off after sandy. I own a 1990 Chevy Blazer with a 5.7 its my first truck. Im slowly restoring it and having fun daily driving it in the mean time. Ill be posting alot of technical questions in the beginning to sort things out with the car so dont be surprised when you see questions all over the place :eek1: . Im interested in meeting up with a few NY members/ attending shows if you guys do. Im also a member of NYTHIRDGEN and own 2 firebirds and have various parts laying around from trans ams and irocs. Heres some pics of the ride below. Ill put pics of the trans am up if you guys want to see. I look foward to being a active member of this community!

dat ass

ive been told these are burban seats. Swapped in by one of the previous owners. Not sure out of what year burb however.

nice blazer :waytogo: let's see some pics of your trans am!

crate motor going in summer 11. Ill post more body pics later I gotta get to a party. :ears:

Looks like a gta. I had an 89 bird, it handled great. I miss it sometimes.
Buddy of mine has a 91ish bird. Some sort of limited edition thing, that thing moves.

Nice K5.....similar in color to mine

My 1978 Y88 restore project

Looks like a 1987 or 1988 GTA?

What's your plans for the K5? Keeping it stock? Lift kit?

nice birdie  love 2nd gens. blazer nice too :pimp: yepp that grey and red two tone. Its a 88 GTA. As for the blazer it needs alot of restoration so I planned on putting bilstein shocks and I was going to post a thread as to what leaf springs. Staying stock until everything is up to check then well see where im at. New tires. Front brakes. Etc small **** thats wrong..

Looks like a pretty solid K5, especially considering your location. Your T/A looks good too. I've had 10 or so third gens myself, only one T/A though. Currently have a couple IROCs and a Z28.

Thanks man yea the rockers have the usually rot a hole or two showing through the paint but I bought it because its all together for the most part. Very nice collection. What year was your trans am?

Hey man so nice to meet the first local person. Is there any CK5 involvement here in NY?

Not really. I never really see anyone on here from downstate. Maybe noticed a few upstaters. Ive offroaded (illegally) at a few spots around here a few years ago and all I saw was jeep and nissian guys. I dont think Ive seen another full size GM wheelin.' I really havent done it much lately, I got tired of fixing **** and risking legal run ins even though I have a few hooks. It kinda sucks when you get stuck and got no one to pull you out.

your new York city / long island man .

new York is much bigger for us upstate guys :D

Whats the upstate scene like? Im down to travel for some club love. I have a few girls upstate too id like to see :D. My family has property near lake george, stony creek, old forge, and lake lucerne. And yea dabba that is definitely a unwelcoming feeling being stuck with no help.

nice to se some fellow Long Islanders around here...Lake Ronkonkoma here

FYI: those seats are found in the mid 90s trucks/SUVs. My blazer came with a pair too. Make sure they are bolted into the floor properly and not halfassed, mine were. They need good support.
